Hostile media coverage of Israel is nothing new, but what about the media consumed by the hundreds of millions of Arabic-speakers, especially Qatar’s hugely influential Al Jazeera network? Suzan Quitaz is a Kurdish-Swedish journalist specializing in Israeli politics, Saudi Arabia, political Islam, and contemporary antisemitism, and is uniquely placed to talk about how the Arab-language media is covering the war in Gaza and Lebanon, and the differences that exist between different media outlets owned and controlled by different Arab regimes.
