The booklet on separation of powers and supremacy of the law in Israeli democracy, of the ‘Thought of Menachem Begin’ pamphlet series published by the Menachem Begin Heritage Center, brings for the first time Menachem Begin’s writings on the importance of the supremacy of law and the judiciary in the structure of Israeli democracy.

The booklet presents his worldview and his unique contribution to shaping the ‘rules of democracy’ in the early years of the state and his efforts to strengthen the judiciary as an independent and superior authority over the other authorities that will enable protection of the rights of the minority and the individual.
