The Library of the Begin Center is a reference library and includes over 5,200 titles, including books from Menachem Begin’s personal library and books that were sent to the Prime Minister’s Office during his tenure. The subjects include his legacy and activities, the Revisionist Movement, the Underground, Herut, Gahal and Likud, Zionist history, the period of the state, the Land of Israel and others.
In addition, the Library maintains a special collection of books with unique dedications that were composed either by Mr. Begin or those who sent him the books, authors and others.
The Library serves high school pupils writing history project papers, students and post-graduate researchers and others including film producers, documentary directors and participants in IDF officer training courses.
Books continue to be purchased or donated and the library staff is engaged in cataloguing them.
The Library is open Sundays – Thursdays from 9:00 to 17:00.
